Kevin Bishop was series producer for World Olympic Dreams, the pan-BBC project that ran in the two years leading up to London 2012. World Olympic Dreams
followed the journeys of 25 athletes from across the globe - characters as diverse as Iraq’s rowing hopefuls, a Taekwondo fighter from
Kabul, Usain Bolt in Jamaica, a judoka from Kosovo and a schoolboy hurdler from Trinidad.
Broadcast across the BBC, the series brought news and feature updates from the athletes as they encountered the up and downs of preparing
to compete in an Olympic Games. Items included over a dozen half-hour specials on BBC1 on Saturday lunchtime and the Our World Slot
on BBC News Channel; news reports on BBC News Bulletins at 1, 6 and 10 as well as BBC Breakfast, World News and News Channel. Radio
reports were broadcast on Today, PM, The World Tonight, 5 Live and Crossing Continents.
